Adidas Reveals New Euro And Copa America Kits For March Internationals

 


Adidas have revealed some stunning new designs for the likes of Colombia, Argentina, Chile, Mexico, Peru and top European sides too. These new kits will all be debuted in the upcoming March international window ahead of two big tournaments this summer; the Copa America and the European Championship


Data apparel analyst Alice Price described Latin America as Adidas’ “star performer” in terms of recent revenue growth. Though the GDP of the continent doesn’t come close to that of Europe or North America, Adidas have always had a presence there, manufacturing for national teams as well as the likes of Boca Juniors and River Plate.

Even if shirt sales won’t replicate that of Real Madrid it is important for Adidas to be aligned with some of the biggest clubs in South America, and in fact, Adidas have seen sales increase by 22% to €2.29bn in the region in recent times.

The reveal of the new Argentina jersey in particular has caused quite the fuss. Of course the recently crowned World Champions were hoping for some sort of homage to their latest title in this kit reveal and Adidas have granted fans their wish.

The new Argentina strip of classic light blue and white stripes features some bold details in gold, particularly the three stars above the crest in honour of the three world cup titles Argentina have now won.

The simplicity of the design is fantastic and allows the gold to take centre stage, reminding opponents who the current World Champions are. Lionel Messi will be filmed and photographed in this strip a million times over and the shirt will be sure to fly off the shelves worldwide.

Colombia’s new kits are impressive too, on the same day they revealed their squad for March’s international friendlies against Spain and Romania the association and Adidas have excited fans with two fantastic new jerseys.

The home kit is the classic Colombian yellow but with added ‘phoenix’ red detail. The away jersey is mainly a subtle dark blue colour with eye-catching orange lining. Adidas have used star players like Luis Díaz to market the new jerseys, as well as models wearing the tops as casual wear on local transport and busy streets.

Adidas have also revealed new designs for the likes of Italy, Spain and more top teams in Europe. They have hit the nail on the head with all of their designs and the Copa America class of 2024 as well as those going to the Euro’s will be looking good.

Perhaps the pick of the bunch are the new Mexico home and away jerseys. ‘Recoding traditional patterns and applying them in a fresh way,’ according to Adidas. It’s true all of the new jerseys seem to represent the colour and culture of each nation but with a modern design twist, it leaves you with the overriding feeling that it’s time to get excited for a fantastic summer of international football.
